Get sparkly this festive season

I recently tweeted about these fab Tuxedo style French Connection trousers as a great Christmas Party option and lots of you were unsure you could pull them off and many of you thought they were too expensive so I thought I should pop together a blog to give some tips on how to wear them and a selection of outfit variations to make them work harder for you this festive season!

So these are the bad boy's, they are £120 from French Connection

If I was sticking with the brand this is the look that I would put together, It is rather obvious to carry on with the Tuxedo vibe and opt for a cream blouse etc so instead I would add in a nice splash of colour with this longer line orange vest £22 it is also really easy to use to help your layering

Then I would opt for the Connie Crepe blazer £150 as it is a little softer than the Tuxedo blazer and can be mixed into really casual looks as well as evening ones!  It is also really flattering on any body shape!

For a slightly different take on the same idea try:

This peplum top from New Look £24.99, the peplum shape is great for those girls who are less confident about there legs as it cinches in the waist and then skims the hip!

with this Blazer £18.74 also New Look

For a more casual Christmas outfit idea, why not try them with these great Florence & Fred tunic and jumper tops!

This geometric lace Tunic is £30 and is a great relaxed option to team with the sequins

For a cheaper option why not try this jumper £10

Or if you liked the peplum idea and want a cheaper option check out this £16 Trumpet top also from Tesco's F&F.

I hope this has inspired you to try out a little bit of glitter on your trousers this season!!!

Weekend wardrobe

A Trip to France last weekend meant an opportunity for a little parisian Chic... and buy some new outfits of course!!

The 1st purchase I made was this fab little dress from Dorothy Perkins £35, which I wore for dinner at our first stop off point Chateaux Montreuil where we had a fabulous dinner and stayed in the gorgeous garden room.

2nd Day was road trip and sight seeing day, so I donned my trusty French Connection Bretton stripe T £25 and my Levis denim shirt £70 with a slick or Red lipstick NARS (Cruella)

3rd Day was our friends wedding and in the morning I decided that I fancied a bit of shopping and bought this fab dress from Sandro €225.  It was a fab wedding and this dress was so comfy and chic that I danced all night without feeling uncomfortable!

So that was my Little French trip and my new favourite for the week is collars!  Would love to hear from people who have found other fab collar detail dresses.

Get connected

French Connection have the most fabulous jumpsuits and playsuits at the moment so I recommend that you get down there and make a connection with a playsuit, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Here are my top 3:

This long jumpsuit has a cross over front and a palazzo feel to the leg that feels really comfy.  If you have a bigger bust you will need a little top underneath but when you put it on you will feel really glamourous and tall.  Its £167.00 and comes in several colours.

I actually have this great one shoulder jumpsuit called Betsy and the trousers are great for showing off some fab shoes like my Miu Miu's, it is £97.00 and jersey so will not crease if you are wanting something that will travel well for holidays.

This playsuit is great for any girl who has a great set of pins, again it is quite low cut with the crossover front but is a great addition to your wardrobe for day or night.  Its called Apollo and is £137.00 try layering the vibrant yellow racer back T (also from French Connection) underneath for a fab day look.
