Looking Stylish on the Slopes (for Vicky)

I have had so many of my clients getting in touch this month panicking about the perfect SKI wardrobe and with the likes of Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Mariah Carey looking super chic on the slopes, no wonder they are all having a panic!

My Top tip's for looking chic on the slopes on a BUDGET are KEEP IT SIMPLE!!!

Black always looks great against the white slopes and can really work in your favour if you are on a budget, as when you opt for colour you need to spend a lot more to make you look super styled!

These 2 jackets are great options for instant SKI style and could be used for the UK on a really extreme weather day too....

£89.99 ProCarve women from Decathlon:

Black £150 Roxy Jacket from Snow & Rock

Then you can go for some easy black salopettes like these also from Decathlon, £44.99

If you have gone full on Black with the outerwear then you can get really creative with your base layers and accessories Like Gwen Steffani has with this awesome Leopard print base layer!

Try a colourful or printed top:

These colour options are only £5.99 per top

Or this printed one from Sweaty Betty  is a great way of Jazzing up the simple Slopes look!

Then you need to add in the hat and scarf options to really make the outfit come together!  I always like a bit of Faux Fur and animal print!
Animal Print goggles £79.99

Head band £19.99
 Snood £34.99
Hope this post helps if you are having to invest in a ski look on a budget!  Check back Thursday for Apres Ski inspiration!

Keeping warm in the Snow

Yes the Snow is causing chaos for lots of people up and down the country!  Being in Central london I am yet to be affected, a little annoying as I love nothing more than a walk through St James's park after a hefty dump of snow.  In fact my snow dog from last year is still on my desktop pics (there was not enough snow for an entire man so we made a dog).

Although the snow has not made me house bound the dreaded TAX return has and living in a very old house, with my office in it's very COLD basement, I have felt the chill of the snowy weather and have found the perfect snuggle outfits that are NOT the dreaded tracksuit!!!

So if you are needing to feel snuggly over the next few weeks think about some of the below:

The first is the closest to a Tracksuit, It is the Bermondsey Sweat Dress from Sweaty Betty, currently in the Sale for £45.00.  It is super comfy and looks great with leggings (I opt for leather leggings to make it look more fashionable) and it has little holes in the arm's, so it feels like i am wearing fingerless gloves!

The next is like a classic jumper dress but the boxy shape and high neck mean that you can make this oversized Jumper look super stylish with the rights accessories..  It is from Baukjen £100.00 and looks great with leather leggings or normal leggings and over the knee leather boots for outside!

Of you are a layering girl then why not use a gilet to give you the layers and warmth?  This sheepskin gilet from Karen Millen £495.00 looks great over a jumper dress but looks fantastic over the top of a slim leather to give extra texture whilst staying warm!

I hope you enjoy snuggling up and keeping the cold at bay!

Full of Trepidation..

On Friday I will be heading off to my first ever fitness bootcamp with a company called R4Reach and I am absolutely dreading it!  It is not that I don't want to get fit but more that I am terrified of the pain that I will be put through for 3 solid days.  I am also one of those girls who gets 'hangry', a term created by my boyfriend to describe how I get when I am not fed (hungry and angry).
This is an image by Tarelkin on ubersuper and is the best visual I can find to show what Hangry is...

When I am in this Hangry zone I am not myself and have been none to growl until food is presented or lash out if it is not, So you can understand that I am concerned for the well being of the trainers on this bootcamp as they will not only be the ones torturing me physically but they will also be the ones dictating the food!!

So in the run up to the newly named Torture Camp I am finding lots of things to take up my mind.  The first is choosing a wallpaper for my bedroom which the boyfriend has agreed to paint while I am on T camp a task that is proving harder than anticipated due to his polar opposite taste in wall coverings.

The 2nd is my favourite type of past time...  SHOPPING it maybe shopping for sportswear but it is still shopping. I figure if i am going to be tortured and starved  I may as well look fabulous whilst doing it!  So here are some of the outfits I am currently thinking about:

They are all from Sweaty Betty because it is a sports brand that allows for huge boobs and curves and If I can find the money I will be purchasing this outfit:

Reversible Flex Vest top its £50 and the bonus of this is.... it's reversible and figure flattering.

I would layer the Vest over the top of this Run Performance LS Tee so that I am reasonably warm whilst the torture takes place, it is £55.

I would then team this with slightly flared OM or Groove pants £55, as they are more flattering on the thigh and tummy than a straight leg sports pant.

I am not going until Friday but wish me luck on Torture Camp people....

RANT!

We all need them once in a while and today I need one in a big way....

My weekend was filled with so much excitement and fun that it is difficult to need to rant but my Sunday was frustrating and clumsy and I hope that by venting my terrible day I will get rid of whatever malevolent cloud it was that seemed to follow me around yesterday!

Soooooo  here goes!

Firstly, my best buddy cancelled our day trip to Bluewater, this was no biggy but what it meant was that I ventured there alone!  I know what your thinking .. I spent money I did not have and now regret it..  WRONG!  It took me 20mins to get to the shopping Mecca and then 30 minutes trying to find a space!  Yes I said 30 minutes of driving in and out and up and down various car parks only to be greeted by other shoppers driving in aggressive manners stalking other shoppers who had bags back to their cars!  I felt I was above this option and instead drove in and out a total of 4 car parks before actually finding a spot!
I then ventured inside the shopping centre only to be run over 4 times by various buggy's and in fact fall over not once but twice in House of Fraser!  This however did not perterb me I went to H&M and did the shopping that I needed to do well about 1/3rd of the shopping I needed but hey!

I then venture home and begin to put some tester colours on our bedroom wall (we are thinking about re-decorating)  All of the colours are disgusting and it was a total waist of time so i decide to take the testers out to our shed!  But on route I drop them and my Uggs, Sweaty Betty trackys and my car wheel now resemble a Jackson Pollock painting.  Defeated I retreat to the comfort of my basement to snuggle up with a glass of vino and a hobnob to watch Strictly and X Factor results....

What a travesty that was, rather than cheering me up, my eyes and ears where offended by the reality that the big bird impersonator is going to be returning to my screens once again.  This means that next Saturday I will be glued to the TV with morbid curiosity, just so I can see what terrible outfit they come up with to top the BIG BIRD look of this week!

Then I switch to X Factor hoping that tonight will be the night that we finally see the back of Wagner and his talk singing and hideous style but instead Paije who I thought was a real cutey is out!
ARRRrrrrrrrggggghhhhh
Outraged and hormonal I ask could this day get any worse!
Then like the answer to my prayers the aromas of cooked apple pie waft down the stairs from the oven.
Suddenly the Jackson Pollock uggs seem bang on trend, the fall in House of Fraser earlier feels like it could have popped my back in rather than out, the drive round the car parks gave my car good turn over!  I smile, I relax, I take the pie from the oven in an excited frenzy and..  it drops from my hands and lands upside down SPLATTERED all over the clean kitchen floor!

I hate full moons.  RANT OVER!
