This may not be a dress but it falls under party wear and this Dorothy Perkins jumpsuit £50.00 has a dropped waist, hip pockets and a fab frilled neckline all adding curves to your figure while showing off your slim limbs!

This dress is also from Whistles for £150.00, the draping at the front enhances a small bust and the waist panel creates a lovely hip line!

This dress From Zara £89.99 is great fun.  It cinches in the waist and the cap sleeves and full skirt create the illusion of a hourglass figure.

For a more glam dress try this Ted Baker number £119.00, the colour is great to make you stand out at a party and the cutouts and panels help to highlight your slender frame. 

Birthday Bonanza

I am sooooooooooooooo sorry for the lack of blogging over the last 2 weeks I would love to say that it has been because I have been so run off my feet, which I have but it is more related to the fact that Tuesday the 16th was my birthday and I have been eking out the celebrations for as long as I could.

On Saturday the 13th the celebrations started with a shopping trip which ended with a purchase in Mulberry followed by high tea at The Soho Hotel with my uni girls and the boyfriend, he was there as official buyer of champagne...

Annoyingly this is the only pic I have of the afternoon of gorging, this is me modelling a very handy gift from my friend Sarah, its a turban towel for your hair!

It was not the best afternoon tea in terms of cake and service but the company was amazing!  Then it was back to Essex for work on the Sunday and Monday morning, I have to keep my clients happy!  A crazy busy working day on the Tuesday my actual birthday but a blow dry at Cobella made me look less shipwreck and more serene for my birthday dinner at Scott's with the family and the boyf but not before present opening and Vino at my lovely little house! 

This is the gorgeous Mulberry purse that the boyf bought me......  I LOVE IT!

A mini photo call in the garden before heading off I love the dress my sister was wearing it is from M&S and looks so Roland Mouret galaxy dress!  I am wearing a Whistles dress and some lush Vivienne Westwood shoes (another birthday gift).

Annoyingly we were not allowed to take pics in Scott's but i managed this sneaky pic of my desert, it was the best meal I have ever had and will be returning once I have saved lots of money!

something old, something new, something borrowed something blue!

No I am not talking about the Royal wedding...  I am talking about the next big wedding of the year that I am attending in Chicago!  It will be the wedding of all weddings, and I have been having a real time of it trying to work out what to wear for the bash.  It's a black tie event and I don't want to let the Brits down.   So... I have been trawling the Internet, and the shops, for that perfect dress.  I have found several along my journey, some expensive, others very expensive, and I think that finally I have an outfit!  Hurray!

So Friday was the day that i finally made my decision and it came down to 2 dresses...  A project D dress worth £499 or a Blue maxi dress that I can borrow for free from my lovely friend Vicky!!  Financially it is an obvious choice but when you try on a dress and feel the need to spin round in circles because you love it so much the choice becomes a little bit harder!

And this is the sexier and cheaper option...

The decision was just to hard so I decided to put it to a vote, I asked 5 people 2 voted the Project D and 3 the maxi.  My decision was made and encouragingly the 2 who voted project D changed their votes on hearing the price difference!

So I sadly re-packaged the Project D dress and sent it back to the shop this morning, I was a princess for the 10 minutes I was in it.  The up side of all of this is that I have a dress for the wedding that has not cost me a dime and it goes beautifully with my favourite earrings.

And it leaves me with some spare cash to buy something NEW like a gorgeous gold belt to finish off the look!!!  That way even though I am not the bride, my outfit will have something old (my earrings), something new (the belt from whistles) and my something borrowed and blue are the fab dress on loan from Vicky!

Bank Holiday Blues..

My Blues derive, not from the fact that the bank holiday weekend was bad, but the fact that it ended and it was possibly the best and most relaxing weekend ever!

But now it is back to business and the domestic bliss of the weekend is already a thing of the past!  The cupcakes I baked have been eaten, the tidy house is now messy, the full fridge is empty and I need another weekend.

Having said all of that there are 3 things still strong in my mind, and my wardrobe to remind me of the fabulous long weekend.  Yes you guessed correctly...  I went shopping.

This is the fab Topshop dress £50.00 and worth it as I have already worn it 3 times!

This is the Paula Dress from Whistles £125.00 and feels really retro!  I love it!

Unfortunately I don't have a picture of purchase number 3, my Paige jeans, as they are being altered...  What... I have very short legs.
