Prince Charming? I'd rather have some shoes!

Forget the Royal Wedding and Marrying your Prince Charming, The LOVE of my life right now comes in a dusty pink box, makes me feel uber sexy and has the ability to make me go week at the knees.

I am not required to diet as when you gain 5 inches in height you instantly look slimmer anyway.  When we clash its like a glorious Fashion moment not the clash of the Titans and most importantly they don't answer back!

Yes.. you guessed it I bought the MIU MIU shoes and we are destined for a life of Happily ever after!

Meet my current love affair....  My MIU MIU shoes:

So I say Kate... you may be marrying a Prince on Friday wearing possibly the most talked about dress in History but you haven't seen what my MIU MIU's and I have planned for the big occasion!!

I am buying these and I mean it this time..

Some of you long term readers will remember me going potty for the Miu Miu seagull print pumps back in April last year and yes I still think about them and wish that I had pre ordered!
Well I have found some fab shoes that stand up to them....  the Polka dot Platform also by Miu Miu,  boy can these guys turn out a fab print pump....
These beauty's are £310 and I think worth every penny...

I have lots of outfits that would look great with them but I think a printed Palazzo pant is just the thing and this pair are £45 from Oasis and follow the polka theme right through.  Fellow blogger Mrs MDS got me coveting some Topshop ones when we met for coffee last month and now I have found a pair that I think will work for me!

I want these sooooooooo Bad!

I want these bags in my life and the fact that every where I turn I see them!  (I have been in Selfridges and Harrods bag departments a lot recently).  Makes It hard for me to carry on resisting!

First on the list and coming in the most expensive is this gorgeous Miu Miu Leather Satchel.  Isn't it beautiful?  And the noise it makes when you open and shut it makes me go a little weak at the knees (not the sound of angels saying buy me but the sound of the clasp).  But it is £809 and that seems a lot of money for something more trend than classic.
Then we have this classic piece of arm candy...  The Small Bayswater Satchel in Oak silky snake print, it is chic, compact and gorgeous and less money to part with at £766 its a saving in comparison!!!

But then from left field comes this cute little clutch... it has the sexy factor and the practicality and it even has that gorgeous clunky clasp sound that I love.  It is also a bargain and affordable at £315.

The real question is this which do we think fellow bloggers and when should I buy?  Do I wait until I go to the USA in May or buy it now and potentially destroy my credit card by finding a new favourite bag in the time between?

Bafta Boo Boo"s

I love the award season because it should bring with it stunning dresses that make us non A-Lister's long for our very own red carpet moment.  But last night's Bafta's was a complete disappointment, I could only pick 3 dresses that actually worked for the actresses and one of those was Helena Bonhem Carter!  I mean who would of thought my favourite kooky dresser would actually have matching shoes, ok she was in Vivienne Westwood as she always is but it was figure flattering.

I predicted right with Amy Adams wearing that fab Elie Saab dress, I just wish she had opted for the green that I picked as it would have had more red carpet presence.  But my favourite look of the evening was Thandie Newton who looked stunning in this gorgeous Monique Lhuiller gown and to be honest made everyone else look less than average.

So let's look at the dud's..

Emma Watson usually gets it bang on but for some reason the hair, accessories and the Valentino gown just didn't work for her last night.  When I look at this photo I keep thinking she looks like Julie Andrews in the dancing scene from 'The Sound of Music' and I think from the look of this image she may have felt the same.

Young newcomer Hailee Steinfield who is only 14, looked a little granny chic in this Miu Miu number which needs a dose of sexy and a killer heel to carry off.  She gets points for fashion know how but I would rather see her in something more age appropriate for the Oscars.

OMG.... I can't believe that Jennifer Lawrence left the house like this...  The Stella McCartney dress is stunning but it makes her look like she has American football players shoulders, her bust looks ready to make a break for it and her choice of choker as an accessory just highlights the bust and shoulders.  A perfect example of when a beautiful dress and a beautiful women don't a great outfit make!

Is Eva Green auditioning to play Nigella Lawson in a new movie?   This Tom Ford dress makes her look much larger than she is!

I want to 'Scream' for Neve Campbell as this Roberto Cavalli dress is so very nearly great but the ruching on the bust makes her boobs appear a little saggy and the fall on the skirt is making her look hip heavy.  Her stylist should have adjusted her straps by an inch which would have corrected the bust, bought her waist higher and the skirt would have flowed over hips in a much more flattering line!

Mini Driver looks Blah in this Temperley gown.  I cant help but think if this had been worn in LA it would have worked better but she should have popped a fur shrug with this to make it look less wedding and more red carpet.

Party Night

If you remember, at the beginning of this year, I had a fabulous Summer Fantasy where I wore a Chloe dress, Mui Mui shoes and Wendy Brandes earrings, whilst drinking Lychee Martini's!  Well for my birthday party I had planned to recreate this fantasy!  I tried to get the Miu Miu's, but they sold out in seconds, the chloe dress was not available in my size and Wendy Brandes earings were all the way over in America and probably sold out due to the Sex and The City 2!!!!!  Booo.  BUT, I did have Lychee Martini's, which were gorgeous and, to make them even more special, or should I say chav, I had them coming out of my very own cocktail fountain!
Here are some pics of my Oh so stylish friends and my Oh so chav party!

The Essex girls...

The none Essex girls... yes they are my civilised oh so stylish friends!

Then the moment I opened the shiny NET A PORTER box... the music stopped, my eyes lit up and I became short of breath and that was only looking at the box and ribbon!!!!  Actually finding a lush Marc Jacobs ring inside made me turn the colour of beetroot and squeal (lucky for me that bit was not caught on camera)
Favourite fashion moments of the evening are....
'Mrs G' Tatty Divine necklace worn by Mrs G
and delicious floral skirt worn by Flic (the lady who introduced me to the delights of Tatty divine back in uni).
Matchy Matchy Perfect Princess's also need a mention..  Lilly and Bonnie looked adorable in matching outfits and kept everyone entertained with dance shows!
