Time to Bring those shades on

Sunglasses! Are by far my favourite accessory and more than often I find myself indulging in a lot of funky shapes and colours from the high street stores apart from high-end luxury brand classic pieces that I own.

They have the power of instantly transforming one’s look and personality into a very cool and relaxed and yet a very Suave demeanour.  However an important aspect to keep in mind while sporting this accessory is choosing the shape that accentuates the right angles of your face.

Let me give you a few tips on how to recognise the right shape for your face.

For a heart-shaped face, pick a style that adds width to the narrow part of your face and hence, over sized wayfarers are a good option for this particular face shape. However make sure they are not too high and wide. Another great look is the good old aviators, as the round edges takes away the attention from the broader part of your face.

If you have a round face, the best shape of sunglasses to pick is the one that draws attention to your top part of the face and also makes your face look thinner and longer. Angular and horizontal sunglasses would be your best bet!

Oval and round sunglasses, especially the retro-vintage shapes trending at the moment are a square shaped face’s best friends.  Avoid angular, as they will tend to draw unnecessary attention to your stronger features. Your aim here is to pick the styles that soften your face structure.

Good news for the people with an oval shaped face, anything will go! You have a face with balanced proportions; hence be it an over sized aviator, horizontal frame or a trendy round shaped pair, they will all look great, just make sure to keep them glasses clean and rid of any scratches.

Acid Brights at Centre Court Shopping

Acid Brights have exploded on the runway and high street for SS13, with Burberry Prosum and DKNY injecting hi-res colour to their collections.

Crystal has on, a very 60’s inspired take on the trend which has a real Louis Vuitton feel to it, the Coral dress is by ALMARI at OASIS £49.95, the Pink and orange clutch is from ACCESSORIZE £29.00 and then to make the look more DAY!  we popped the Elissa brogues from JONES THE BOOTMAKER.

If the shape of the Oasis option does not work for your body shape then take a look at this great dress from VERO MODA AT OLIVER BONAS £34.00, the colour really pops when put with this Necklace also OLIVER BONAS £26.00.  The summer Hat is from ACCESSORIZE £20.00 and give the outfit more glamour!

Another great look that we used was this H&M number, the jacket £29.99, trousers £24.99, top £14.99 and gloves all came from H&M. Then with so much colour we toned the outfit down with a metallic shoe from MODA IN PELLE £59.95

So be daring and highlight your wardrobe this season with florescent pink, orange or yellow and if wearing the colours in garments feel a bit to out there!!!   Go for neon accessories instead.

Monochrome Madness at Centre Court Shopping Centre

Monochrome is one of the hottest trends for SS13 and can be easily styled into your wardrobe whether it is for the office or occasion wear. Its been seen on the catwalks of designers Marc Jacobs, Jil Sander, Louis Vuitton and many of the high street stores have embraced the trend too.

Check out our high street looks from the Spring Summer fashion show at Centre Court Shopping Centre.

inspiration that’s perfect for that special occasion.
Our first top look is perfect for a day at the races or a wedding:
The Black & white coat is £65 from Debenhams Collection, the dress is STAR BY Julien McDonald at Debenhams also £65, then the hat £45 is  by Jasper Conran at Debenhams.    the pop of colour comes courtesy of an Orange I pad case, Oliver Bonas £29.95 and the Caris shoes from Moda In Pelle for £49.95.
The great thing about the detailing on this dress is that it really slims the body with its use of contrast, making your hips appear narrower.

For a more relaxed monochrome look try this great dungaree look.
Black white spot dungarees, £40.00, white t-shirt, £12.00, sunglasses £15.00 all from River Island
Ray shoes, Moda in Pelle £99.95, white bangle, OASIS £12.00 and sunhat, Accessorize £19.00.

This could be worn for a really casual look but can also be dressed up with a pair of heels.

One of my favourite looks from the show was this skirt and top combo, that you could recreate for work or wear on a night out.  The outfit was inspired from Vitoria Beckhams SS13 collection.
The white blouse with mesh sleeves is £24.99, the faux leather mini skirt is £19.00 and the blue shoes are £14.99 all from H&M.  We popped the metal belt from OASIS £18.00 on to finish the look.

All of the outfits shown are available from Centre Court Shopping Centre and were styled for the SS13 show at the centre by CW-Style.

Get your garden styled and ready...

Summer always comes early in the UK so after yesterday's taste of Summer I am getting my garden ready, so that the minute the sun comes out, we can enjoy it.

My inspiration has come from a job that I styled 2 weeks ago for ASDA, using their home and garden trends, here are the scenes we created for the garden that I will be using as my inspiration.

My friends kids would just love this little den area and I think the dog tent and chair are a great way of getting the kids outside and playing in the garden.

This BBQ is from ASDA and looks super chic for any garden party... but they have an amazing selection on line, from simple coal options to all singing all dancing gas ones!

I fell in love with Gnorman the giant garden gnome!  Alas they have sold out online, so I am hoping they get more in as he would be a fab little addition to my quirky city garden!

When entertaining in the garden, I usually like to keep everything very rustic and miss matching, but I am completely won over by the kitsch coloured glass and cutlery sets that they have and think that colour is the way forward for garden tableware this summer!
