Queen VB!

It came to be that on a brutally cold New York morning, Victoria Beckham proved to us all once again why she is swiftly becoming one of London's most impressive exports.

While delivering a collection for AW 2014 that was at once familiar, elegant and exquisitely detailed.  There was also an obvious continued shift in the overall silhouette of her collections.

While monochrome spoke loudly throughout the show, there were bold dashes of colour (see the beautifully over sized dress above).   Abstract, bold prints were dotted throughout the collection adding interest and much needed relief to the sharply tailored collection.

The early days of corsetry and hourglass definition have been replaced with a more relaxed and edgy feel, much like the designer herself!

There is more fabric and more manipulation to each of the looks, an obvious continuation from her SS14 collection.  Gentle fabric folds at necklines, playful organza ruffles on hemlines and full sections of pleated silk, suggest that VB is well and truly designing for an edgy, relaxed and inspiring girl about town who knows who she is and what she wants. Just like the lady herself.

Look no 31(above) a floor length evening gown that combined pleating. fabric play and silhouette beautifully, was by far the strongest look from the collection and I hope that we get to see even more evening looks in her next collection.  As she could really become the QUEEN V of the Red Carpet.

Congratulations Victoria - we salute you!
